Neighborhood Advocate Program

Vernon Community Network & Rockville Community Alliance

The Vernon Community Plan for Children and Youth is an undertaking by the Vernon Community Network (VCN) with a goal statement of, “All Vernon children birth to eighteen are safe, healthy and productive.” A significant component of this plan calls for a provision that enables neighborhood residents to be able to more effectively communicate with municipal social services and volunteer help organizations, and vice versa.
Vernon Community Plan

The Rockville Community Alliance (RCA) formerly the Rockville Community Block Watch, is a volunteer organization that produces in conjunction with other town and volunteer groups, events and programs that promote safe, healthy and productive enjoyment of life within our neighborhoods. A component of the RCA’s by-laws included a network of Neighborhood Advocates acting as liaisons between their community and helpful Vernon municipal and volunteer organizations.
