Vernon Preschool Collaborative

The Vernon Preschool Collaborative is a high quality early childhood program serving preschool aged children and their families. Part day sessions are offered in each one of Vernon’s five elementary schools. 
The Vernon Preschool Collaborative is currently accepting applications for children and families interested in attending the Vernon Preschool Collaborative for the 2015 – 2016 school year. 
Children must be Vernon residents and 3 years of age on or before January 1, 2016.For an application or for more information, please call Jen Dennin at 860-870-6000 ext. 137.
The Community Lottery will be on April 7, 2015. In order to be included in the lottery, families must complete an application before April 6, 2015. Applications that are received after the lottery will be placed on the wait list based on the date the application is received.   
The Vernon Preschool Collaborative includes Head Start spots for income eligible families.  If you are interested in learning more about Head Start services and eligibility, please call Jen Snyder at 860-560-3108.

East of the River Action for Substance Abuse Elimination (ERASE)

To foster community coalitions by providing prevention resources and support for data-informed initiatives and behavioral health promotion strategies.

ERASE (East of the River Action for Substance-Abuse Elimination, Inc.) is one of 13 Regional Action Councils (RACs), established by state legislation, passed in 1989, to assess substance abuse needs and plan to fill gaps in services. ERASE was incorporated as a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization in 1990.

 


 

Hartford Care Coordination Collaborative (HCCC)

In collaboration with the Child Health and Development Institute, Special Kids Support Center (SKSC) at Connecticut Children’s and the United Way 2-1-1/Child Development Infoline (CDI), has taken the lead in establishing a regional community care coordination collaborative in the North Central region of CT. The Hartford Care Coordination Collaborative (HCCC) consists of several care coordinating entities, including Child Development Institute, Community Health Network, the CT Behavioral Health Partnership, the CT Dental Health Partnership, CT Family Support Network, and the Department of Children and Families. The Collaborative reduces duplication of services by facilitating communication across sectors, provides effective and efficient linkage to services for children and families, and fosters a shared mission for care coordination in the region.
